Illustration: a small character, WIP, waves from a glowing floating platform at night. Tiny floating islands drift in the distance — each one a world ahead — and a giant, faint outline of a brain hangs in the sky above.
A journey through the work of Wilbert Limson
The Unfinished World
Every problem I’ve encountered has changed how I see the world.
Come explore the worlds that shaped my mind.

The Islands of Access
Decision-support analysis · illustrations are conceptual redraws
Illustration: Dusk over a chain of tropical islands. A volcano cone rises from the sea, stilt houses line the shore, and a wooden pier leads toward a larger island where a clinic and a school stand on the far side of a bay.
World 01 · North Maluku, Indonesia
Public-sector decision support for where schools and clinics should go — across an island province.
Decision-support analysis · illustrations are conceptual redraws
Illustration: The island scene turns into a map. A dashed straight line from a village to a clinic across the bay fades out, and the real road route lights up around the coast while travel-time bands spread along the roads and stop at the shoreline.
The straight line
Nearest is not always reachable.
A short line across water is not a route. Access is traced along real roads, and it stops at the coast.
Closest… if you can swim?
Illustration: On a hilltop, a large white decision table floats beside three small figures. It compares candidate sites A, B and C. A lens hovers nearby showing a before-and-after road scenario.
The decision table
The model recommends. People decide.
Candidate sites are compared side by side — coverage, cost, and who is left out — for the officials who must choose.

The Workshop of Small Sellers
Provisional — being documented
Illustration: A small market stall at night with a single product box on its counter. Loose briefs, photos and notes swirl above it, and a magenta thread gathers them into a neat line of three stations heading out toward small channel tiles.

One seller, one product, a hundred small marketing jobs. AdTune explores agents that carry them.

The City That Shows Up
Phase 0 software complete · first live event pending
Illustration: An evening city street with string lights, a few vendor stalls and small groups of people arriving. Three paths — attendees, organizers and a brand stall — converge toward an event gateway.
World 03 · CURNT · Founder
Attendees, organizers and brands meet at the same event — each with a different job to do that night.
Phase 0 software complete · first live event pending
Illustration: A glowing event gate with a scanner at the door. Separate streams of people pass through it and merge into one crowd inside. A small booth nearby hands out passport cards.
The entry gate
From a platform thesis to the night itself.
The scope narrowed to what an event really runs on: registration, entry, attendance and rewards.
So the door is the product?

The Factory of Constraints
Slitting optimizer demonstrated · APS proposed · MRP future
Illustration: A flexible-film plant at night. Order cards drift from a sales window toward a planning office; giant jumbo rolls wait on the floor beside a line of machines.
World 05 · Deltara · Co-founder
Sales promises dates. Planning needs a schedule that can run. Production needs stable machines. They pull against each other.
Slitting optimizer demonstrated · APS proposed · MRP future
Illustration: A jumbo roll slides into a slitter and splits into narrower child rolls. A low-trim pattern flashes a warning at a station limit; above, a schedule loom of machine threads lights up with changeovers and cooling windows.
A pattern isn't a schedule
Low waste on paper. Impossible on the line.
A cutting pattern that minimises trim can still break station limits — or the sequence downstream.
It looked so tidy…
Illustration: A planning console shows two schedule options with delivery-risk markers and an approval switch. Beyond it, a ghosted, dashed-outline materials shelf stands unfinished.
Human approval
Feasible options — and a person who signs off.
In the proposed system, planners compare schedules and delivery risk, then approve or override.

Systems at Scale
Anonymized aggregate · no client names or figures
Illustration: A city of interconnected towers, each a different sector rendered without logos. Pipes of data run between them toward a single small operator at a desk.
World 06 · Consulting · Anonymized
AI platforms for the operators who run them — not the engineers who built them.
Anonymized aggregate · no client names or figures
Illustration: Close up at an operator's workstation. A tangle of outputs reorganises into a clear flow with a review step, an exception tray and a hand-off to a colleague.
The operator's desk
Design the whole workflow, not just the model.
A model is one step. Review, exceptions and hand-offs decide whether anyone can use it.
And who checks the answer?

The Living Mind
The worlds were never separate.
An island province, a film factory, a boxing gym, a youth event. Look closer and the same lessons keep returning.
The Islands of Access ↔ The Factory of Constraints
Feasible beats optimal on paper
An island province and a film factory look unrelated. Both showed that the mathematically convenient answer — the nearest facility, the lowest-trim pattern — can be unusable in the physical world, and that people need to see the trade-off before they choose.
Draft synthesis
The Neighborhood Ring ↔ The City That Shows Up
Belonging needs a visible way in
A neighborhood gym and a youth event scene both depend on approachable touchpoints: a site that shows where to go, an entry that lets you in without friction. Participation is designed as much as it is offered.
Draft synthesis
The Factory of Constraints ↔ Systems at Scale
The workflow is the product
Whether it is a factory schedule or an operator's AI tool, a convincing demo is not a working system. Approvals, exceptions and hand-offs into existing operations are where it becomes usable.
